  • Sharp action is hitting Wednesday's MLB slate on two games in particular.
  • The Action Network's tools reveal how pros are playing Mets vs. Rockies and Reds vs. Cubs.

Regardless of the time of year, there will always be space for day baseball in bettors' hearts.

Featuring a bunch of series finales, Wednesday's MLB slate has its fair share of day games, and at least one has brought with it a healthy dose of sharp action.

Here's how sharps are betting Mets vs. Rockies and Reds vs. Cubs.

New York Mets @ Colorado Rockies

3:10 p.m. ET | Noah Syndergaard (10-8, 4.15 ERA) vs. Jeff Hoffman (2-6, 7.03 ERA)

Public bettors aren't missing the chance to pass the day with a bet on Noah Syndergaard, especially when he's going up against Jeff Hoffman's 7+ ERA. The Mets also opened around -155/-160, which seems like a reasonable price to pay for such a matchup.

Of course, if a line looks to good to be true, it's probably not because oddsmakers slipped up. In fact, this line has even dropped further since opening — New York is now just -145.

With only 15% of bets and 17% of money landing on the Rockies, you can feel pretty confident that the line move came as a result of sharp action, and Sports Insights' Bet Signals, which track and record professional market moves, have confirmed that to be true.

The Rockies have triggered two signals at +148 and +143, and now sit at +135.

Cincinnati Reds @ Chicago Cubs

8:10 p.m. ET | Tyler Mahle (2-11, 5.11 ERA) vs. Jon Lester (13-10, 4.59 ERA)

Similar to this afternoon's Coors Field matchup, this one has seen some significant movement away from the popular side.

In this case, only 16% of bets are landing on the Reds (though given how much time is left before first pitch, I'd say that percentage is a little more likely to increase). Still, the Cubs' popularity thus far makes their line fall from -180 down to -164 a meaningful one.

Two more SI Bet Signals have confirmed that sharps are the reason for the movement. Both came at +159 and have helped push the Reds down from +165 to +145.
