  • Friday's seven-game NBA slate features four player prop bets offering value
  • This piece will focus on Jazz G Donovan Mitchell, Clippers PF/C Montrezl Harrell, and Pelicans PF/C Julius Randle

Friday’s best NBA player props focus on three of the slate’s seven games:

  • Cleveland Cavaliers at Utah Jazz: 9 p.m. ET
  • Golden State Warriors at Los Angeles Clippers: 10:30 p.m. ET on ESPN
  • New Orleans Pelicans at Portland Trail Blazers: 10:30 p.m. ET

As a reminder, you can dig deeper on these and many other prop bets by using our FantasyLabs NBA Player Props Tool. It leverages our projections against five of the most popular online sportsbooks and grades each prop on a scale of one to 10.

Jazz G Donovan Mitchell

The Pick: Over 25.5 points (+115 on BetOnline)

Mitchell started off his sophomore season slowly but has turned it on of late. He’s scored at least 26 points in each of his past seven games, including averaging 31.2 points per game over his past five.

He has an excellent matchup today vs. the Cleveland Cavaliers, who have been the worst defensive team in the league by a considerable margin. There is a lot of blowout risk in this contest – the Jazz are currently favored by 15.5 points – but that only figures to happen if Mitchell has a huge first three quarters.

I love getting this prop at better than even money, but I’d play it up to -110.

Clippers PF/C Montrezl Harrell

The Pick: Over 6.5 rebounds (-114 at BetOnline)

Harrell is back to being a force in the Clippers’ rotation after going through a slight swoon over the past month. He’s played at least 29.5 minutes in three of his past four games, and tonight’s matchup vs. the Warriors seems to fit his skill set better than the other big men on the Clippers’ roster.

Marcin Gortat and Boban Marjanovic would get absolutely run off the court by Golden State, so Harrell has the potential to play more minutes than usual in today’s contest. He’s also pulled down at least seven rebounds in five of his past six games.

This line is too low considering the matchup. I like the over up to -150.

Pelicans PF/C Julius Randle

The Picks: Under 19.5 points (-115 at Sportsbook.com) and Under 9.5 rebounds (-140 at Bovada)

Randle has had a phenomenal season for the Pelicans, but it seems like his role in the rotation is going to be reduced with Nikola Mirotic back at full strength. He saw just 21.7 minutes in the Pelicans’ last game compared to 29 for Mirotic, who routinely played more minutes than Randle when healthy earlier in the season.

Randle will likely see slightly more minutes today in a better matchup vs. the Blazers, but it seems unlikely that he’s going to return to the 30-35 he was playing with Mirotic out of the lineup. That’s creating some value with the under on his scoring and rebounding props, both of which have a Bet Quality of 10 in the Player Props tool.

Randle is still capable of doing a lot of damage in small stints, so I wouldn’t go crazy with these. I like the under on his scoring prop up to -130 and wouldn’t play the rebounding prop at higher than -150.
