Clemson and Alabama are meeting in the college football national championship game for the third time in four years. And for the third time in four years, the point spread is almost identical.

The Tigers are +5.5 at most betting shops as of Monday morning. They've covered each of the past two meetings, winning the 2017 national championship outright.

Clemson opened as more than a touchdown underdog after the College Football Playoff semifinals, but was quickly bet down. We'll be tracking live odds here until the national championship game kicks off.

Alabama-Clemson Live Betting Odds

All odds from Pinnacle as of Monday at 7:10 p.m. ET.

7:45 p.m. ET: The over took late money, moving up to 57.5 at most books. It's even hit 58.

7:30 p.m. ET: Clemson has been bet down to +5 pretty much across the market.

7:10 p.m. ET: Wynn has moved to Alabama -6, while most of the market is still at -5.5.

6:30 p.m. ET: The total continues to drop and now sits at 56 at Pinnacle. The spread has shown almost no movement all day.

5:30 p.m. ET: The spread still hasn't budged off -5.5, but BetOnline is showing juice in Alabama's favor.

Right now, 57% of the tickets and 50% of the money is on Alabama, while 65% of money on the total is on the over, despite the line dropping.

3:30 p.m. ET: Despite reports that the grass at Levi's Stadium is in good shape, the total continues to drop. It's 56.5 at Pinnacle right now.

1:25 p.m. ET: The juice has started to move back toward Alabama at -5.5. It sits at -109 at Pinnacle, meaning it's becoming more likely the line stays at -5.5 than moves off it.

The total is back up a point at most books, too, to 57.5.

12 p.m. ET: Pinnacle has moved the juice on Clemson to -115, meaning the line is trending toward +5, instead of the other way to +6. This could change again quickly, though.

11 a.m. ET: The market is starting to move toward 57 on the total, with Bookmaker, Heritage and BetOnline all there. Most other books are still at 57. I imagine there will be some pushback on that over if the lean continues to creep down.

9 a.m. ET: The first 57.5 has shown at Heritage, while the rest of the market sits at 58. The spread remains 5.5.

7 a.m. ET: The Clemson-Alabama spread jumped around a little bit last week, down to Alabama -4.5 at some books, but has pretty much settled in at -5.5 around the market. Just a few books are showing a different number right now.

As for the total, which dropped sharply last week, it's stayed around 58.
