Super Bowl Sunday is one of the biggest days of the year for sportsbooks. Not only do traditional bets (spread bets, Over/Under, etc.) get a ridiculous amount of action, but the books offer a once-a-year menu of prop bets that will add to the handle.

The Big Game is obviously huge business for the folks behind the counter, but what happens if everything goes wrong for the house? What would a worst-case scenario look like for the bookies?

We asked sportsbooks to tell us their worst-case scenario for The Big Game. From who covers the spread to who scores the first touchdown to what color Gatorade is dumped on the winning coach. Here's what they had to say:

BetMGM

49ers win, the total goes over, Tyreek Hill scores first touchdown, Patrick Mahomes goes over his props, Mahomes wins MVP and Purple Gatorade is dumped on the winning coach.

PointsBet

Chiefs win, the total goes over, George Kittle or Travis Kelce scores the first touchdown, Mahomes goes over on his props, Kelce wins MVP and Purple Gatorade is dumped on the winning coach.

DraftKings

Chiefs win, the total goes over (53.5), Kelce scores the first touchdown, Mahomes goes over his props, Mecole Hardman is named MVP and Purple Gatorade is dumped on the winning coach.

FanDuel

49ers win, the total (54.) goes over, Mahomes scores the first touchdown, Mahomes goes under his passing prop, Nick Bosa wins MVP, Red Gatorade is dumped on the winning coach.

William Hill
