Premier League fans are in for a unique match when Burnley travels to London Stadium to face West Ham United for an important fixture for each squad.
Sean Dyche, the longest tenured manager in the English top flight, was sacked ahead of this game and caretaker manager Mike Jackson will lead the Clarets in this fixture.
Stakes are high for the Hammers and Clartes as the pair are competing for different feats in the league. West Ham has an outside chance at a European position is driving the team, while Burnley faces an uphill battle to avoid relegation.

West Ham Seeking Consistent Form
While the Hammers haven't been able to maintain a high EPL level, they've held strong in the Europa League, which is a more viable path to high-quality European football at this point than the Premier League.
West Ham is currently in the semifinals of the competition and a title would result in a Champions League place. That is as appealing as it gets for the club’s fans as it hasn't yet qualified for Europe's most elite competition. Bottom line, this is as good of a chance as they'll get.
In the EPL, West Ham currently sits in seventh after a three-win, two-loss stretch. Overall, the Hammers have a 4-4-1 record over their last nine games.
West Ham will have a bit of a disadvantage when it comes to fitness, having played it Thursday in France against Lyon. With just two days of rest, the host will have to deal with an intense Burnley side.
Burnley Making Last-Ditch Effort to Survive
It was a bit of a shock when Dyche was fired, but the reality for Burnley is that extreme measures are required if it wants to remain in the English top flight.
The Clarets are four points behind Everton, which sits in 17th place with eight games to play. That's a significant amount of time, but it's going to take a big effort, including wins along the way.
This is a great chance to do that, as Burnley has a significant rest advantage and should have a semblance of the very real "new-manager bump." Of course, the baseline level for this team isn't very high, but it won't take a monstrous effort to earn at least a point from this fixture.
Betting Analysis & Pick
While the analytics point to a major edge for West Ham, that doesn't account for the two factors I mentioned above in rest and a slight manager bump.
Further, Burnley has kept each of its last five road games in the league within a one-expected goal margin, so this is a side that's capable of maintaining its level on the road.
We can expect some major turnover for West Ham versus the lineup that played in France, with those that do retain their position facing a serious test to compete at full intensity.
In these circumstances, I'm happy backing Burnley to secure at least a point.
