The PGA TOUR closes its 2021 portion of the FedEx Cup season with its most unique event: the QBE Shootout.

Instead of playing by themselves, 24 established TOUR professionals will pair up at Tiburon Golf Club in Naples, Fla. It's also is a three-day event instead of the usual four.

All three days have different formats, which are as follows:

Friday: Scramble

Both players tee off, then the team decides which shot it will hit for its second. Each player hits from that spot on the course, and the pair follows that format until the hole is done.

Saturday: Alternate Shot

Both players will tee off on every hole, but the format changes a bit after that. Whoever’s ball is not used as the tee shot will shoot the second shot, then the other player will take the third. They’ll rotate shots until the hole is complete.

Sunday: Best Ball

Each player plays the hole as usual, and the lowest score between the two is used on the scorecard.

Another unique part of this event: LPGA major champion Lexi Thompson will be paired with Bubba Watson. Thompson is the second-youngest LPGA golfer to win a major and an 11-time winner on the ladies’ tour. Her and Watson have the longest odds to win, at 28-1.

Obviously, it helps to have a good partner. On paper, Sam Burns and Billy Horschel, Max Homa and Kevin Kisner, and Jason Kokrak and Kevin Na all are the best on paper. Burns, Homa and Kokrak have all won on TOUR this fall.

But Ryder Cup winner Harris English and TOUR veteran Matt Kuchar have won this tournament three times before. They're the third betting choice at DraftKings.

English, who won three times on TOUR last year (the QBE in 2020, then the Tournament of Champions and Travelers in 2021), and Kuchar have won this tournament three times, in 2013, ’16 and last year. When the duo didn't win in '14 or '15, it finished second.

As mentioned, this will be the final tournament of 2021 for the PGA TOUR. Next up on the schedule will be a trip to Hawaii. There, the TOUR will have the Sentry Tournament of Champions from Jan. 6-9 and the Sony Open the following weekend.
