CJ Cup betting review: Thomas survives playoff, Harman cashes
Justin Thomas was the favorite for the CJ Cup title from start to finish.
It took a couple of extra holes, but Thomas defeated Marc Leishman on the second playoff hole and cash at +700.

We never had anyone near the top of the leaderboard, but luck shined our way late in the final round. Brian Harman cashed at 20-1 to top five thanks to a bogey from Anirban Lahiri on the 18th hole. That bogey put Harman into a six-way tie for fifth and brought back seven units to avoid a terrible week.
I've mentioned it before here, but this play emphasizes the importance of where you put your money in golf betting.
Overall, we dropped 3.3 units after striking out on the top-10s and matchup plays this week. That puts us down 1.7 units for the 2017-18 season.
Season recap
Safeway: +3.6 units
CIMB: -2.0 units
CJ Cup: -3.3 units
Next week is a big one for betting on the fall swing. We have two events with the HSBC Champions in China and the Sanderson Farms in Jackson, Miss. I'll be back next week with plays on both tournaments.
