The Northern Trust: Spieth pulls away, heads into final round as a huge favorite
The Northern Trust appears to be Jordan Spieth's to lose.
Spieth fired a round of 6-under 64 on Saturday to move three shots clear of Dustin Johnson and establish himself as a clear-cut favorite at -250.
Johnson comes in at 4/1 and is the only golfer closer than five shots to Spieth's lead. Spieth has been perfect in these spots throughout his career, going five for five in converting a 54-hole lead of at least two strokes. So looking down the board feels like throwing money away.
We had a window on Spieth at 14/1 as mentioned after Thursday's round, when he started ice cold with the putter, but at this point betting on a winner really wouldn't be a play for me.

Saturday's matchup cashed with Keegan Bradley beating Jason Dufner by two shots at +120. Dufner continued his hot putting, but Bradley simply put together one of the best rounds of the day with a 4-under 66.
I'm going back to the well again and betting against Dufner in the final round. Justin Rose is listed at -130 against Dufner, so I'll be backing him for a unit. It's the same reasoning as before. Dufner isn't hitting the ball well this week and is getting bailed out by the putter. Even with the putter still cooking, he wasn't able to beat Bradley. So I like Rose's chances.
