Tour Championship betting review: Xander Schauffele, Justin Thomas cash in
For the first time since 2009, the Tour Championship and FedEx Cup went to different players.
Xander Schauffele capped off his rookie of the year campaign with his second win of the season, holding off Justin Thomas by a shot.
Schauffele is the biggest long shot to win the Tour Championship in the playoff era, going off at 90/1, while some books had him as high as 125/1.
The solo second was enough for Thomas to leapfrog Jordan Spieth, claiming the season-long FedEx Cup title and the $10 million prize.

Nothing clicked from a betting perspective this week. Jon Rahm won his Sunday matchup while Justin Rose lost his, so we finished 4-5-2 this week. Rose was the top finisher of the pre-tournament selections in ninth.
The Tour now begins its 11-day offseason prior to the Safeway Open in Napa, Calif.
During that insanely long time off, we'll have the President's Cup next week. I'll be back to look at the matchups and props as the USA heads into the event as a -300 favorite over the International squad.
