Olesen has had high-end success on the European Tour and has decent result in the States as well. He’s a solid golfer with not a whole lot of discernible weaknesses, although I do think he lacks the upside to really compete on this course in such a loaded field.
His biggest strengths are with ball-striking and his short game. He can get hot with those, but he’ll likely always be in worse positions than a lot of the field hitting his second shot into these greens. Given the lack of course fit and inconsistent play of late, I don’t think I’ll be buying him this week in any format.
