  • After a hot Friday round, are the sportsbooks overvaluing Jason Day?

Two rounds down at the Travelers Championship, and we’ve got an eclectic leaderboard. Let’s take a look at three matchups for Saturday’s third round.

Chez Reavie -0.5 (-155) over Zack Sucher

On Wednesday, Sucher tweeted about this being his final event before injury in 2017 and how thankful he was to get back to a place he believed he might never get back to again. Reavie is back in the same place as last week, contending for his second start in a row. He should be able to hold off his playing partner in this one.

Robert Streb (+185) over Jason Day

There are a bunch of juiced lines among the last handful of pairings, but this one might provide the most value. Simply put, I think Day will find it tough to bounce back from a second-round 63. It hasn’t been a great year for Streb, but this is a good track for him. At this number, I like the chances of a Saturday upset.

Andrew Putnam -0.5 (-115) over Adam Long

Through two rounds, Putnam has been striking the ball really well; he ranks third in strokes gained on approach shots at just more than five so far. Against Long, who hasn’t done much since his win in Palm Springs five months ago, this feels like a solid play.
