UPDATE: Kentucky Derby winner Medina Spirit has tested positive for corticosteroid Betamethasone. Bettors who bet on Medina Spirit keep their money, but the owner, trainer, and jockey must return winnings if they lose the appeal. All betting results stand.

No. 8 Medina Spirit won the 147th Kentucky Derby at odds of 12-1, meaning a $10 win-bet returned $120. No. 7 Mandaloun (26-1) finished in second place, making the correct exacta combination 8-7. A $2 exacta paid out $503.60.

In third place was No. 9 Hot Rod Charlie (5-1), who went off at 5-1 odds. The correct trifecta combination was 8-7-9 and a $0.50 trifecta returned $848.45.

No. 14 Essential Quality, the morning-line favorite at 5-2, finished fourth, meaning the correct superfecta combination was 8-7-9-14. A $1 superfecta paid out $9,456.40.
