5 Reasons to Try Unibet’s Revamped New Jersey Sports Betting App article feature image

Unibet has revamped its sports betting and casino apps in New Jersey in hopes of catching its competitors, who have been trying to stand out with superior products in a crowded market.

There are several key additions to the sports betting product, both in user experience and bonuses. They make Unibet a worthwhile sportsbook to keep in your arsenal, especially considering the daily profit boosts they're offering for existing users.

Here are five reasons to try Unibet's revamped New Jersey app.

1. Much-Improved SGP Product & Bet Slip

Same game parlays make up more than 20% of all wagers at some sportsbooks, so it's critical books offer their users a better experience on what's quickly become the most popular new wager type in the U.S.

Unibet has revamped its bet slip so that you don't need to enter an "SGP Mode" like you do at DraftKings. At DK, you must flip a toggle to enter a new screen where you can build your SGP.

At Unibet, you can just start adding bets from the same game, and it will build an SGP right in your bet slip, similarly to how FanDuel does it. It's a much smoother process.

If you navigate to a game, you'll find everything that's SGP-eligible in a specific tab, but you can also just add props from different menus to create your SGP. If a bet isn't SGP-eligible, it will add it to the bet slip separately.

And perhaps most importantly, if you want to remove something, you can just remove that bet — you don't have to delete the entire SGP like you do at DraftKings and bet365, among other books.

2. 25% NBA, MLB & NHL Profit Boosts

The EV community will love Unibet's daily profit boosts. You'll get a 25% bump on any 3-leg NBA, MLB or NHL same game parlay at +300 or longer. It's a max $25 wager, and one boost can be claimed per sport per day (except MLB, which is only Monday-Friday). So that's up to 19, 25% profit boosts per week while the NBA and NHL still have daily games this spring.

Say I wanted to bet a 3-leg SGP in Lakers-Nuggets Game 2 with the Lakers +5.5, over 226.5 and LeBron James over 23.5 points. It was initially priced at +330, but the profit boost takes it to +413.

Expect Unibet to continue offering some daily profit boosts throughout the year to entice existing customers — something many sportsbooks ignore.

3. Unique Welcome Bonus

Most sportsbooks have moved to a "first bet on the house" offer, which means if your first wager loses, you'll be refunded in bonus bets. But most users just want some extra money to play around with — they don't want to put $1,000 on the line on their first bet.

Unibet offers up to $100 in bonus bets with just $25 worth of cash wagers. Here's an example of how it will work:

  • You place $25 on the Lakers moneyline against the Nuggets at +200 (your first wager must be +100 or longer).
  • You'll then receive 2 x $25 Same Game Parlay bonus bets and 2 x $25 Parlay bonus bets, for a total of $100 in value.
  • If the Lakers win, you'll of course keep any profit and your original bet amount.

4. All Things Bonus Are Easier to Find and Use

What good are sportsbook bonuses if you can't find or use them? Unibet's new platform has put an increased emphasis on promotion and visibility of your bonuses by putting them in the following places through the "Bonus Offers" in the top left corner on desktop, and in your account dashboard in the app.

  • You'll get notified of any bonus when you log in
  • Bonus offer tab to see all your active bonuses
  • See and activate bonus bets in your bet slip, instead of before putting together your bets

5. Faster Loading Speeds

While Unibet's app still isn't perfect, it's gotten much faster.

Its page-speed loading times are on par with industry leaders like FanDuel and bet365, and ahead of other books like BetMGM and Caesars.
