  • BetMGM sportsbook will officially go live on Sunday at 8 a.m. CT, but you can pre-register now to claim a $500 instant deposit match.
  • MGM is asserting itself as a player in the U.S. sports betting space, moving into almost every state with full-scale online betting.

We've anticipated legal sports betting would finally go live in Tennessee this weekend. Now we've got some concrete details.

BetMGM announced on Thursday morning that it will launch Sunday, Nov. 1. Our Darren Rovell reports the book will go live at 8 a.m. CT.

You can claim a $500 instant deposit match at BetMGM now.

MGM is one of four books approved to launch on Nov. 1 — DraftKings, FanDuel, and Tennessee-operated Action247 are the others.

MGM, a casino giant across the U.S., has put its full might behind its sports betting product, and is operational in New Jersey, Indiana, West Virginia, Nevada, Mississippi and Colorado.

It still lags behind DraftKings and FanDuel in revenue, but its early entrance into a high-barrier market like Tennessee shows how serious it is.

Earlier this week, MGM announced a deal with the Tennessee Titans, the first between a book and a professional team in the state.

Bettors in Tennessee can download the BetMGM on Nov. 1 on both iOS and Android, and betting will also be available on desktop at BetMGM.com.
