How the Bonus Codes Work

You’ll have two options for bonus codes for Thursday Night Football and all of NFL Week 15, depending on which state you live in.

  • Bonus code ACTION: That’s a $1,000 first bet on the house.

Let’s say you want to make your first bet with $100 on Brock Purdy to score a touchdown at +600 against the Seahawks. It’s one of Gilles Gallant’s favorite TD bet for TNF.

I’m taking a swing on Purdy if he’s active. The rookie scored last week against a much better defense (Buccaneers) than the one he’ll face this week.

The Seahawks defense has been all-around bad. It has allowed 18 rushing touchdowns this season, which are the third most in the NFL. Seattle also ranks in the bottom 10 in rush attempts and yards allowed to opposing quarterbacks.

I thought about Kyle Juszcyk in this spot since he scored back in Week 2, but he has the same odds as Purdy. That’s not enough value, since the fullback was +850 to find the end zone back in Week 2.

If Purdy scores, you’ll get $600 in cash and keep the $100 you bet. If he doesn’t score, you get $100 back in free bets.

With the free bets, you’ll need to turn those into cash. Here’s how it works.

Say you take the $100 in free bets and put it on Marquette -3 against Creighton. Here’s our take for Friday’s game:

Marquette is such a great home team, and it’s flying under the radar.

This team is neck-and-neck in talent with Creighton and has a better offense. This should give the Golden Eagles the advantage on Friday night.

If Kalkbrenner is out, take the Golden Eagles from -3 (-110) to -6 (-110). If he is playing, take them to -4.5 (-110). Expect the Marquette backcourt to annoy Scheierman and Alexander enough to give itself the edge over Creighton.

  • Bonus code ACTIONYARD: That’s $200 in free bets when you bet $10 or more on any NFL or CFB game. Only available in Maryland, Illinois, Louisiana and Kansas.

Here, you just need to use the free bets. BetMGM will send you four, $50 free bets from this offer.

Say you get them through Seahawks-49ers and then want to use them on the Bahamas Bowl under. If it wins, you’ll win about $180, but you don’t keep the $200 in free bets. If it loses, the free bets go away.

Here’s our take on that game:

UAB enters as an 11-point favorite with the total sitting at just 45 points as of writing. The RedHawks are the sharps’ play, as 65% of tickets but 93% of the money has landed on the underdog.

As for the total, 97% of the money has come in on the over, which explains the line moving from an opening number of 44.5.

It may seem unwise to go against the line movement, but my preferred play is the under. Miami (OH) games have gone under 45 six times during the regular season, and this matchup appears primed for another low-scoring affair.

This matchup to open bowl season features two slow-paced teams — including one fairly inept offense — against defenses equipped to get them off of the field. That should keep scoring at a premium and keep the clock moving.
