The madness resumes on Thursday when the Sweet Sixteen commences with four matchups. BetMGM bonus code TOPACTION1100 is live for players to get refunded in bonus bets equal to what they lost if their first bet is a loser.

There are also several other offers either involving Massachusetts or March Madness live for the Sweet 16 on Thursday with BetMGM Sportsbook. Here are your three available offers:

  1. BetMGM Bonus Code TOPACTIONDANCE: This BetMGM promo code revolves around March Madness. New users receive $200 in bonus bets after they bet $10 on a college basketball moneyline. This offer isn’t available in NY and DC. It’s a good low-risk offer for new Massachusetts users.
  2. BetMGM Bonus Code TOPACTION: Massachusetts players can receive up to $1,000 back in bonus bets if your first wager loses. If it loses, the book will return your wager in bonus bets equal to what you lost.
  3. BetMGM Bonus Code TOPACTION1100: This Action Network exclusive offer gives you $1,100 back in bonus bets if you lose your first bet. BetMGM takes your first bet and matches it in bonus bets if you lose. New customers in MA, NY,  or DC won’t have access to this promo.

Those uncertain about what to do with bonus bets can keep reading for some example Sweet 16 bets from our experts.

BetMGM Bonus Bets: Thursday’s Sweet 16 Slate

You’re getting value back in either scenario: A win will give your payout; a loss will return your wager in bonus bets that can then be used to bet for profit.

So for instance, if I were to place a $1,000 wager on Arkansas to defeat UConn at +160 moneyline odds, I would either get my $2,600 payout with a Razorbacks victory, or receive $1,000 in bonus bets is the Huskies prevail.

Let’s dig into some bonus bet examples assuming you’ll have them at your disposal for Thursday’s batch of the Sweet 16 games.

There’s a variety of methods to find a positive line, but a simple and entertaining one is creating a parlay. We’ll begin with the Michigan State-Kansas State 6:45 p.m. ET matchup.

The Spartans have 1.5 points over the Wildcats as both teams present three players in their starting five that average double-digit points. Keyontae Johnson holds the highest stat line in this game — leading Kansas State with 17.5 points, 2.2 assists and seven rebounds. On the Spartans side, it’s Tyson Walker with 14.8 points, 2.8 assists and 2.5 rebounds.

It’s expected to be a well-paced game, but our Mike Mike McNamara isn’t betting against revered Spartans coach Tom Izzo, who knows this stage well:

Sparty will have its hands full going up against the duo of Markquis Nowell and Keyontae Johnson, but Izzo’s defense has held serve thus far in this tournament against some dynamic talents like USC’s Boogie Ellis and Marquette’s Tyler Kolek.

This will be a physical, hard-fought game throughout, but the defensive improvement shown by the Spartans — as well as the continued growth of Mady Sissoko and Carson Cooper — should be difference-makers.

Finally, when the game is on the line late in March, I’m not betting against Izzo.

Pick: Michigan State -1.5

Now let’s add another leg by examining the next game on tap Thursday, which is Arkansas-UConn at 7:15 p.m. ET.

The Razorbacks enter as 3.5-point underdogs to a UConn team that has bulldozed its way through the first two rounds of the tournament. The Huskies feature one of college basketball’s most formidable power forwards in Adam Sanogo, who has posted 24 and 28 points in the first couple rounds, respectively.

There’s plenty of mouths to feed in this Razorbacks offense however. Arkansas poses an extremely well-balanced and battle tested lineup — dressing five players averaging in the double digits. It’s led by Ricky Council IV, who has 16.1 points, 3.6 rebounds and 2.3 assists.

Even so, BJ Cunningham still believes that the potency of this Huskies artillery should continue to achieve success against the spread:

UConn is a high-volume 3-point shooting team and has shot the ball well from deep this season, hitting over 36%. The Huskies got hot from deep against Saint Mary’s, which ultimately allowed them to prevail.

A lot of 3-point shots means a lot of long rebounds, and UConn is second in the country in offensive rebounding percentage. Arkansas has allowed just 10 total offensive rebounds this tournament, but the Razorbacks ranked outside the top 100 in defensive rebounding percentage entering the tournament.

I think the run ends here for Arkansas, and I like UConn at -4.

Let’s take both the McNamara and Cunningham bets for the first two games of the evening and slap them together for +264 parlay odds.

If we take $100 of bonus bets and place it on this parlay, we either:

a) net out $264 (not $364 since the stake is kept by the book) or;

b) receive $0 and try our luck with remaining bonus bets.
