BetMGM Bonus Code TOPACTION Holes $1,000 for Masters, Any Game This Weekend

BetMGM Bonus Code TOPACTION Holes $1,000 for Masters, Any Game This Weekend article feature image

The 86th Masters teed off on Thursday and there’s plenty of action to be had on golf’s tent-pole event. In the meantime, BetMGM bonus codeTOPACTION nets a $1,000 first bet on the house for the Masters, or any other game this weekend.

In other words, if you were to bet $100 on a prop of Tiger Woods to land closest to the 16th pin amongst his threesome with Xander Schauffele and Viktor Hovland at +186 odds, you would get back $100 if you lose the bet. A win will give you your full payout — $186 in profit and the $100 you bet back — and the promotion is over with.

TOPACTION is operating in all BetMGM Sportsbook states except New York and Washington D.C. It’s usable on any sport or event on Thursday, too.

If you’ve never bet with a sportsbook promotion before, we did a complete breakdown of the different types of bonuses.

Let’s draw some more Masters examples to describe how you can use bonus bets on Thursday.

Betting With BetMGM Bonus Bets: The Masters

So in the scenario where you lose your first bet on using the TOPACTION bonus code, you’ll have $1,000 (or whatever amount you bet) in bonus bets.

BetMGM splits up its credits into any increment. You can use $10 on one bet and $100 on another. Or just bet the full $1,000. Bonus bets must be used within seven days of being credited to your account. Think of them like the sportsbook spots you for the bet, and if it wins, you give back the bet, but keep the profits.

We always recommend you make plus-money wagers with your bonus bets, so taking spreads actually isn’t the best idea. You’re getting much more expected value, since you don’t keep the initial stake. While you may not hit your bonus bets as often at +500 since those outcomes are less likely, it’s mathematically optimal and you’ll make money in the long run.

Golf is just the game for bonus bets. Let’s use an example where we bet Jon Rahm to win the tournament at +950 odds. He’s one of the clear favorites and has been knocking on the door at Augusta for several years. Our senior golf expert Jason Sobel likes Rahm and here’s why:

Despite three wins already this year, he’s somehow slid down to third on most oddsmakers’ boards, logically behind Scheffler, but perhaps not so logically behind McIlroy, who appeared a bit lost before his third-place finish at the WGC-Match Play.

I’m sure Rahm himself couldn’t care less about this number, so I’m not implying this is some sort of motivational justification. Instead, consider it a nod to the fickle world of golf prognostications, where a player who ranks third in Strokes Gained: Tee-to-Green, fourth in approach, 17th around the greens, 12th in putting and – you guessed it – first in strokes gained total can actually offer a modicum of value at a single-digit outright price.

With four top-10s and nothing worse than T-27 in six career Masters starts, Rahm is everything we’re looking for in a potential winner this week.

How the Bonus Bets Settle: With $100 on Rahm, either $950 is profited if he earns the green jacket on Sunday or $0. This is real money that comes back, not money bets.

Signing Up at BetMGM

BetMGM has a few things you should know before you get started.

  1. You must be 21+ years old to register and bet
  2. You must be located in a BetMGM state when placing your first wager. You don’t have to live in Ohio to wager, you just have to be in the state at the time of activation and making a bet. Check out our travel betting guide for more details. You can withdraw money once you’ve already left the state (so if you were in Ohio on Monday and bet the Super Bowl, you could withdraw in your home state next Monday).
  3. You must have access to a valid deposit method. Credit card, bank account transfer and PayPal are the most popular, though some credit cards will flag gambling and not allow you to deposit.
