BetMGM Golden Knights-Panthers, 06/06/2023

BetMGM bonus code TOPTAN1500 unlocks an exclusive new offer for Action Network readers. It gives you a 20% deposit match up to $1,500.

BetMGM will give new customers 20% of their first deposit in bonus bets. The maximum you can deposit is $7,500 to receive the $1,500 in bonus bets. If you deposit $100 for example, you'll get $20 as a bonus. This offer is available in all BetMGM states except New York and Washington D.C.

This offer also comes with 10x rollover, meaning you need to wager 10x your bonus amount to cash it all out (so if you deposit $500 and get $100 in bonuses, you'll need to wager $1,000 total; that could be 20, $50 bets over the course of a month).

Bettors can wager on any sporting event this weekend, including the French Open, MLB, NCAA Softball, PGA Tour, and more. However, we'll focus on Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Final between the Golden Knights and Panthers.

What are BetMGM Bonus Bets?

The BetMGM bonus code TOPTAN1500 allows new customers to earn bonus bets. The deposit amount ranges from $10 to $7,500, so everyone will likely have a different amount. No matter how much, all bonus bets serve the same purpose.

Bonus bets are never kept, regardless of the outcome of your bet. For example, winning a $10 bet at +100 means you'll only earn $10 in winnings. Bettors should always target plus-money props for bonus bets. Typically, you'll earn more expected value on a prop with longer odds.

The sweet spot for a bonus bet is +300 to +700.

Betting on the 2023 Stanley Cup Final at BetMGM

The 5-2 final score in Game 1 wasn't indicative of a dominant performance by the Golden Knights. However, they left no doubt as to who was the better team with a tremendous showing in Game 2. Vegas led 4-0 through two periods before capturing the five-goal victory.

Florida left Game 2 with question marks at goaltender. Sergei Bobrovsky shook off a rough first round with an outstanding performance against the Maple Leafs and Hurricanes. However, his rough play has returned, with a 5.22 GAA and .826 save percentage in the Stanley Cup Final.

The Panthers pulled Bobrovsky in Game 2, but he's expected to start Game 3. His performance could make or break the outcome of the series.

The scoreboard tells us that Vegas has dominated this series. We should see things change as the series shifts to Florida. Could we see our first overtime game of the Stanley Cup Final? Greg Liodice is taking that bet at +350.

The Florida Panthers have been in this position before. Albeit, it’s been a few rounds since their backs were against the wall, but they’ve had the hardest road to the Stanley Cup Finals of all playoff teams. They’ve shown that they can push back when things get tough, and I’d argue that the extra day off is a big advantage for the Cats.

In my game guide for Game 3, I suggested that this game could go into overtime. With Florida pushing back, I don’t expect the Vegas Golden Knights to go down without a fight. Adin Hill has played out of his mind and has shut down any potential chances the Panthers have thrown his way.

Florida has had a decent series at even strength. The power play has been invisible, though, because Vegas has done a wonderful job staying out of the box. The Knights’ penalty kill is pretty terrible, so if the Panthers are able to get a few power plays, I can’t imagine a world where they don’t score one.

With that, the Knights have done a wonderful job at limiting Sergei Bobrovsky’s line of sight, and they have gotten a ton of high-end chances. There’s a chink in Bobrovsky’s armor, and Vegas is taking full advantage of it.

It’ll be a close battle in Sunrise, and I think we’ll see our first overtime game in these Finals.

Check out a quick breakdown below if we use a $100 bonus bet on this prop.

  • Game 3 Goes to OT: We don't keep the $100 bet, but we win $350
  • Games 3 Ends in Regulation: The bonus bet goes away, and we don't win any money

Signing Up at BetMGM

BetMGM has a few things you should know before you get started.

  1. You must be 21+ years old to register and bet.
  2. You must be located in a BetMGM state when placing your first wager. You don’t have to live in Ohio to wager; you have to be in the state at the time of activation and making a bet. Check out our travel betting guide for more details. You can withdraw money once you’ve already left the state (so if you were in Ohio on Monday and bet on the Super Bowl, you could withdraw in your home state next Monday).
  3. You must have access to a valid deposit method. Credit cards, bank account transfers, and PayPal are the most popular, though some credit cards will flag gambling and not allow you to deposit.
