BetMGM Bonus Code ACTIONCUP Unlocks Big Value for Thanksgiving NFL Slate
BetMGM is offering new users $200 in free bets for Thursday's NFL Thanksgiving slate, which kicks off with Bills-Lions at 12:30 p.m. ET.
You'll use BetMGM's World Cup offer to get free bets for the NFL. Here's how to do it:
- BetMGM bonus code ACTIONCUP gets you $200 in free bets when you bet $10 on any World Cup match. That will get you the free bets in time for Thanksgiving NFL. This is the best available offer in most states (all besides PA & NY).
- Bonus code ACTION gets you a $1,000 risk-free bet. It's a worse offer than ACTIONCUP, but if you're really, really anti-soccer, you can go ahead and use it.
Again, you'll just use ACTIONCUP to get the free bets. Then use the free bets on the NFL if you so desire (or any other sport for that matter).

How the ACTIONCUP Promo Works
Remember, the World Cup is just the best vehicle to get the free bets. Then you can use the free bets on anything.
Acquiring the Free Bets
In order to get the $100 in free bets from this promotion, you need to bet a minimum of $10.
Let's say I bet $10 on South Korea moneyline against Uruguay at 8 a.m. ET. If South Korea wins, you'll profit $45 (since they're +450 on the three-way moneyline) and you'll get $200 in free bets.
Even if South Korea loses, you'll get the free bets to use on anything you'd like later in the day.
Using the Free Bets
We always recommend betting plus-money wagers with your free bets. It maximizes your expected value in a major way.
BetMGM will return four, $50 free bets for this promotion. They can't be split down any further than that.
Let's say I want to use my first free bet on Dawson Knox to score a touchdown for the Bills, priced at +200.
- If Knox scores, I'll win $100 ($50 x 2.0). I don't keep the free bet though, and just keep the profits.
- If Knox doesn't score, the free bets goes away.
That's why the free bets are so nice — you don't actually have to risk much to turn it into a few hundred. Of course, many plus-money bets will lose, but you should be able to take just $10 cash and come away with north of $100.
With the risk-free bet, you have to actually risk a lot of money to get that free bet back.
Thursday Bets to Make
BJ Cunningham: Switzerland vs. Cameroon over 2.5 (+130)
Switzerland have a major experience and tactical advantage in this match, whereas Cameroon have only played a handful of matches under their new manager.
This also has the potential to be a higher scoring match than expected with Switzerland’s ability on the counter and Cameroon having good finishers in Aboubakar and Choupo-Moting.
Additionally, Switzerland’s matches throughout World Cup Qualifying and the Euros averaged 2.88 xG per 90 minutes, while Cameroon’s matches throughout World Cup Qualifying and the Africa Cup of Nations averaged 2.58 xG per 90 minutes.
I have 2.4 goals projected for this match, so I like the value on the over.
The Pick: Over 2.5 (+130)
PJ Walsh: Bills-Lions over 54
The Bills vs. Lions total opened at 52.5 and wiseguys have pounded the over throughout the past couple of days.
Action Labs’ Bet Signals have tracked four Steam Moves on the over to this point, tipping exactly how the pros are playing this matchup.
In addition, our NFL public betting data shows that 76% of the money wagered on this total has come in on the over, leaving little doubt as to why this line has climbed to a consensus of 54.5.
PRO Report Pick: Over 54
Brandon Anderson: Pats-Vikings under 42
I don’t trust Cousins enough in primetime (11-17 ATS) despite the positive Thanksgiving trends, especially since Belichick covers 61% of the time against NFC foes — 65% as an underdog and 67% with four days of rest. As a Vikings fan, I don’t need a side here to ruin my holiday night.
Instead, the under looks like the best play. Those offensive line injuries on both sides will hinder already shaky QBs, and the Pats defense is on a roll. Thursday unders are 17-10 (63%) since the start of last season, and primetime unders are 20-13 (61%) this fall.
Then there’s this Thanksgiving treat: Turkey Night unders are 11-4 all time, a 73% hit rate with seven in a row. That tryptophan is kicking in early.
