Betting With BetMGM Bonus Code TOPACTION on Tuesday
This bet is for brand-new players on the BetMGM platform to get one on the house. So, if you lose your bet, you get the wager back in bet credits.
If you are new to placing sports bets, it’s good to know that lines can vary depending on the book. This is because each of them are pandering to different types of bettors. So in turn, one might have the Suns at -8 while another has them at -7.5.
It may not seem like it, but that extra half-point goes a long way in terms of winnings over time and probability. Shopping the best line through our live odds pages is a handy way to monitor the automatic changes happening on the market.
We’ve got plenty more tips in our beginners guide to sports betting.
In the meantime, BetMGM has the Suns-Nets set at a spread of 7.5 in favor of Phoenix.
We’ll begin explaining the TOPACTION promotion by breaking this game down and suggesting several ways to bet it.
Choosing a Bet: Suns-Nets
With the departure of Irving, Kevin Durant’s continued absence to injury and Devin Booker’s return, the Suns are strong road favorites entering Barclays Center.
The Suns took the previous cross-conference match in Phoenix 117-112 on Jan. 19. That game saw 30 points from Irving in Durant’s absence. Booker did not play either as Mikal Bridges and Deandre Ayton led with 28 and 24 points, respectively.
With Booker, the Suns are night-and-day as an offense. They’ve sunk to 112.5 PPG since his last game on Christmas. Booker still leads the franchise with 27.1 points.
If there’s been any beneficiary of the key lineup omission, it’s Ayton, who has conspicuously stepped up shooting 58% from the field with 10.2 rebounds.
The good news for Brooklyn is that Ben Simmons will be available for Tuesday after missing five games to knee soreness. Simmons leads the desperate Nets with 5.4 assists and is shooting 56.6%.
Otherwise, it’s a bit of a free fall. Guard Seth Curry suffered injury to his adductor to join Center Markieff Morris. The banged up Nets will look to Simmons and Nicholas Claxton and Royce O’Neale to compensate for the soap opera state of their season.
Alas, the Nets still remain in playoff contention resting at fifth in the East while the Suns sit sixth in the West.
Despite the personnel on the floor Tuesday, Brooklyn has been satisfactory at home with a 16-9 record at Barclays. It remains above .500 ATS as well with a 28-25 mark. The Suns are in a similar range at 30-25 ATS. They’re a below average road team at 10-19.
In deciding a play for this game, Kenny Ducey focuses on Pace ratings and how Booker will affect that to impact the under:
I believe in both offenses here, particularly with Booker giving Phoenix some minutes. He’s had an overwhelmingly positive impact on several players, like Mikal Bridges, and should bring the best out of this scoring unit.
The key metric I want to highlight here is Pace. The Nets play with a Pace rating of 101.93 in the minutes without Irving and a 98.57 with him on the floor. While Phoenix has played slightly slower with Booker in the lineup, this is a massive difference we can’t ignore.
With a faster game and two offenses looking strong, I think you can make a great case for this number being too low.
Let’s compose a one game parlay with Booker to eclipse 17.5 points on the night plus the Suns to cover.
Bet | Line |
---|---|
o224.5 Points | -110 |
Suns -7.5 | -115 |
Booker o17.5 | -212 |
Total | +425 |
We can bet up to $1K to reap the benefits of the promotion. Let’s imagine we deposit and wager the full amount on this +425 parlay.
- A win gets $4,250 and a $5,250 payout. The promotion is effectively done.
- A loss returns $1K in BetMGM bet credits.
Let’s talk about how you can use bet credits to your best potential.
BetMGM Bet Credits
The reason why I put together a three-leg parlay with longshot odds for the first bet is because the longer the odds, the more you accrue over time. It’s the mathematically effective route to betting, especially with promotions and bet credits.
Since we’ll see the bet credits appear after the first bet is complete, let’s seamlessly transition right into the second feature of the TNT broadcast.
For the example’s sake, let’s pretend we break off $100 and place it on the Thunder to beat the Lakers +200 Tuesday night. We’re looking at +200 odds posted by BetMGM.We’ll want a healthy line, so this can just be a vehicle to demonstrate the return of bet credits.
A Thunder upset in Los Angeles would net $200 in real cash available to withdraw, save or spend on your wildest desires.
If the Thunder lose, you lose the $100 just like you would real cash, and profit an exciting $0.
Make bet credits count, because that’s when the risk per se kicks in.
