Speaking of bonus bets, we’ve broken down how you can use them to your advantage with some Monday playoff props below.
Caesars Bonus Bets, Explained
There’s a couple ways to go about this: The popular way of hedging your bets, or betting at plus-money to maximize your expected value. Hedging is a more grounded approach to betting; a bettor will wage on the opposite side of their original bet when the odds of it winning becomes more realistic.
Expected value means what you’re accruing over time through profits.
How to Profit With Bonus Bets on Monday
There’s several ways we can lengthen our odds between choosing a player prop or composing a parlay. Let’s do both with a couple of best bets from our NBA and NHL experts:
Brook Lopez absolutely had himself a regular season in 2022-23, and if the Bucks are going to win a title he’ll be key. But this has not been the matchup for Lopez. He is averaging 13.7 points and just 3.7 (!) rebounds per game this series, and his minutes have gone down each subsequent game. In the regular season, he averaged 15.9 points and 6.7 rebounds, but even with Giannis Antetokounmpo out, the Heat have held his numbers incredibly low. A good part of that is due to his matchup with Bam Adebayo, a player who may well end his career with a DPOY or two on his mantle.
As of now, Antetokounmpo is still listed as questionable, but I like this under either way. If Antetokounmpo is back, while that might draw some attention from Brook, it’s not going to help his rebounding numbers and overall touches. Plus, it gives the Bucks even more opportunity for Lopez to be on the bench with Antetokounmpo at the five.
Nikita Kucherov and Brayden Point were extremely threatening in Game 3, and I expect that to continue tonight. The Lightning have thrown a lot of eggs in one basket by stacking Steven Stamkos, Point and Kucherov on a stacked top unit at even strength thus far in this series.
Kucherov has generated a wealth of shots both at even strength and on the power play in this series. He has 13 shots on goal in the first three matchups and just missed this number in a very noncompetitive Game 2. Betting Kucherov to record three shots at even-money is a very reasonable look. Point is another valid option, but with the outside chance he starts the game but cannot finish due to injury, he’s an intimidating option. A loss could result in frustrated bettors hoping for refunds.
These two legs muster parlay odds of +267. Let’s imagine you place $100 in bonus bets on this Monday night. The result would either be get $267 of real money with a win (not $367 because Caesars takes back the stake), or lose the parlay and walk away with nothing — including your stake.
