FanDuel Gives $1,000 Promo Code for MLB Playoffs & NHL
The stars align for Tuesday night with Game 1 of the MLB Divisional Series and a doubleheader of NHL tilts. FanDuel's promotional offer can be used on either to score new users up to a $1,000 no-sweat bet.
You can bet anything up to $1,000.
If you win, you'll keep your winnings and the money you waged like any other bet. Lose, and you'll get the amount you waged back in free bets — I'll explain further below.
You can sign up with this link; you don't need a code.
Let's get down to the possibilities here and how you should approach this opportunity on Tuesday.
How to Use This Offer Strategically
The higher the line, the more expected value you'll get.
This means you should always seek out plus-money wagers — especially when using your free bets.
Let's assume you've got $100 that you're looking to bet on the MLB Playoffs Tuesday night.
Here's something to consider for Mariners-Astros in Game 1 of the ALDS:
Justin Verlander has established his ability to pitch deep into games this season for Houston. He should settle in comfortably in Game 1 and has the strong upper-hand against Logan Gilbert for Seattle. If the Astros can take an early lead with their seasoned offense, Verlander is a good bet for the win.
Our MLB analyst, Jim Turvey, suggested this play in his Same Game Parlay for this matchup at 3:37 p.m. ET:
If JV goes 6 IP 1 ER and the ‘pen goes 3 IP 1 ER, and the Astros score their five runs — bang, this leg is covered.
It’s also worth noting that both of these offenses got the chance to face off with these pitchers numerous times during the regular season. In fact, both opponents were the team each pitcher saw most frequently during the 2022 regular season. Gilbert saw the Astros four times and Verlander saw the Mariners an insane six (!) times during the regular season.
I will note that both pitchers had success in those outings, so if you are one to weigh that heavily, this SGP may not be for you. Personally, I weigh the fact that they have gotten so many looks at the pitcher this year heavier than the actual results in that relatively limited sample.
Pick: Justin Verlander to be credited with a win — Yes (+133)
- If Verlander is credited with a win, you win $133 and keep your $100. You'd have a total of $233.
- If any other pitcher gets the W, you're reimbursed $100 in free bets.
What to Do With Free Bets
You've got your $100 back in free bets, but you can't withdraw it. You must place a bet with it to get real cash.
Here's how you could use it for tonight's NHL's primetime match between the Lightning and Rangers at 7:30 p.m. ET.
This game presents the rematch of last season's Eastern Conference Final and two of the top contenders in the East again this year.
The Rangers return most of their young, progressive roster from last season — most namely Alexis Lafreniere, K'Andre Miller, Braden Schneider, Kaapo Kakko and Filip Chytil — all of whom made massive steps together in the spring. The Lightning retain their back-to-back Cup champion skeleton without the likes of Ryan McDonagh and Ondej Palat.
The tale of this game will center around the two Vezina-winning goalies in Igor Shesterkin and Andei Vasilevskiy. Shesterkin is at his best when SA exceeds 35+. Both netminders allowed 14 GA in their six-game Conference Final bout, but Shesterkin saw 209 shots vs. Vasilevskiy's 173.
The difference now is that the Rangers are springing off their prolific postseason run with a more experienced lineup. Their young, talented core is meshing and beginning the primes of their careers, while Tampa Bay — albeit still a deep lineup — could start their regression stage.
The Rangers enter as the favorites in this game, but should expose Tampa with their excellent special teams and improved 5-on-5 play.
Pick: New York Rangers Puck Line -1.5 (+205)
- If the Rangers win by more than a 1.5 goal margin, you win $205 in cash ($100 x 2.05), but you won't keep the $100 in free bet money.
- If this parlay doesn't hit, you end up with $0.
