Monday Night Football: FanDuel Promo Code Hooks $1,000 First Bet
The first battle of Ohio commences on Monday as the Cleveland Browns and Cincinnati Bengals line up at FirstEnergy Stadium.
Both team’s will vie for pace in the AFC North and FanDuel’s promo offers a $1,000 no-sweat first bet to new users betting on the game.
Let’s preview how to use this promo with some picks for Bengals-Browns to consider.
No-Sweat Betting Preview: Bengals-Browns
New-users can place any bet of $10 to $1,000. FanDuel will restore the amount you lost with free bets should they lose.
Cincinnati Bengals: -178 at FanDuel Sportsbook
Joe Burrow led the Bengals to an assertive 35-17 victory against Atlanta in Week 7 — proving that he’s capable of replicating the same powerful offense that was established in 2021. Burrow threw for 481 yards and tallied three touchdowns — albeit against a porous Falcons secondary. On the other side of the those passing yards was a monstrous outing from Ja’Marr Chase with 130 receiving yards and a pair of scores. The Bengals will be without Chase as he hampers a hip injury that will keep him out 4-to-6 weeks. Burrow will lean on Tyler Boyd, who broke out with 155 yards and a score in Week 7, and Tee Higgins in Chase’s stead Monday. Cincinnati’s No. 1 running back Joe Mixon has posted relatively modest numbers heading into Cleveland. He’s only tallied two rushing touchdowns this season, but he’s been useful as an additional receiving option for Burrow, too. He’ll face a Browns secondary that’s been among the league’s most generous to opposing backs so far.
Cleveland Browns: +150 at FanDuel Sportsbook
2022 has been frustrating for Cleveland. Aside from beating the lowly Panthers and Steelers, opposing teams have clipped them at every turn. The Browns are looking to get back on track with a win against a formidable team — especially within the AFC North. It’s unlikely that win will come against the Bengals on Monday, but Jacoby Brissett will turn to his developing rapport with Amari Cooper when in need to make a play. The Browns’ most important weapons will be the 1-2 punch of their backfield, featuring Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt. Both backs get about equal looks in the redzone and will need to find a rhythm to keep the Browns offense on the field.
Here’s a parlay for MNF to use for example (always take advantage of a promo and bet on plus-money. You also accrue more expected value the more you bet).:
|Tee Higgins 90+ Receiving Yards||+136|
|Joe Burrow 275+ Passing Yards||+118|
|Nick Chubb ATD||-120|
Understanding the No-Sweat Promo
So, here’s the deal: I have $125 to spare. I deposit and bet it on this parlay Monday night. Here are my two possible outcomes:
- The parlay hits: I win $576.25. I also keep my $125 deposit and hold a total of $701.25.
- The parlay misses: I receive $125 in free bets.
This game should present a handful of interesting player props. Check out the ones our experts are watching for in our MNF Prop Bets segment:
Free Bets: How to Use Them
Free bets cannot be withdrawn. You can place bets with them and if it wins, you keep the profits, but the free bet money poofs away. Lose, and you’re out of luck.
Pretend I lost my MNF bet and got back the $125 in free bets. I bet all of it on this NHL parlay on Tuesday evening:
These are the two things that could happen here:
- The parlay hits: I’ve won $1,193.75 ($125 x 9.55). The $125 in free bets I placed the bet with goes away. But I’ve profited $1,178.75 since my deposit. Looks like I found the house with a big candy bars.
- The parlay misses: ‘I got a rock…’ (I walk away with nothing).
So there is some risk involved in the long run, because your deposit isn’t insured for when it becomes a free bet.
