Another day, another opportunity to secure up to $1,000 with FanDuel's no-sweat bet promotion.

Unsure of what a no-sweat bet is? I've spelled out how this will work with examples and previews from Wednesday's slate of action.
No-Sweat First Bets, Explained NBA Edition
After signing up for FanDuel, your first bet will be insured. If it wins, you keep the profits and your deposit; if it loses, you are refunded whatever you bet.
You must place anything between $10 to $1,000.
It's more opportunistic to create a parlay and increase the line with a first bet promo.
Let's suppose you deposit $500 and bet this parlay based on expert picks:
Bet | Line |
---|---|
Sixers -2 | -112 |
Bucks-Nets Under 233.5 Total Points | -110 |
LeBron James Over 7.5 Assists | -106 |
Total | +602 |
- The parlay hits: You win $3,010 ($500 x 6.02). You also keep your $600 deposit for a sum of $4,920.
- The parlay doesn't hit: You get $600 back in free bets.
Here's some intel behind each leg of this parlay:
Corey Parson:The Raptors and 76ers are evenly matched teams, and they will likely play a one-possession game tonight in Toronto. So far this NBA season, road favorites are 8-10-1 ATS, but when the road team is a favorite of three points or fewer, as the 76ers are tonight, those teams are 5-3 ATS and 6-2 on the moneyline. The 76ers are the healthier team and have more to play for. Consequently, I like them to get the win tonight in Toronto.
Chris Baker:While the Bucks have struggled offensively, they have been carried by an elite defense that ranks first in points per 100 and adjusted defensive rating. Their defense has looked better as solid defenders like Jevon Carter and Wesley Matthews are earning more minutes due to the injury situation. I expect them to be able to contain Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving. Kyrie especially may struggle, as he should see a steady dose of Jrue Holiday mixed in with some Carter on him all night. Combine all of these factors with the slow pace and the familiarity these two teams have with each other, and I think that 233.5 is too many points for what should be a competitive game with both teams playing hard on defense given the history between them.
Jim Turvey:James is averaging 7.3 assists per game this season and has gone over 6.5 in two of three games. Denver is the worst defense the Lakers have played so far this season, and both teams have a top-ten pace. With Russ out, James will bring the ball down the court more often, as well as be even more likely to be the one to get the board and start the break. Finally, if the Lakers shooting regresses in a positive manner even just a bit, James has one of the biggest gaps between his potential assists (14.3) and his actual assists (7.3), meaning the opportunities are there if the looks start to fall.

How Free Bets Work?: Thursday Night Football
You can place bets with free bets, but can't withdraw them as real cash. It's more of a second opportunity to make something of a lost deposit.
You keep the profits if your bet wins.
Let's say you only want to bet $250 of your $500 in free bets on Thursday Night Football.
Here's a mock Same Game Parlay:
Bet | Line |
---|---|
Buccaneers +1 | -112 |
Mike Evans ATD | +188 |
Lamar Jackson Over 62.5 Rush Yards | -114 |
Total | +772 |
Your $250 free bets wager would work out as such:
- The parlay hits: You win $1,930 in cash ($250 x 19.52). You don't keep the $250 in free bets, but you still have the remaining $250 in free bets you saved for later. You have a sum of $2,180 to bet moving forward.
- The parlay doesn't hit: You win $0 and lose the $250 deposit, but still have the other $250 in free bets you haven't used yet.
