Alabama, Auburn, Wisconsin, All to Win
- Odds boost from +219 to +250
Are you bullish on all three CFB favorites winning on New Year's Day? If so, here’s an interesting promotion: FanDuel has boosted the odds of a parlay between the Alabama moneyline (7.5-point favorites), the Auburn moneyline (7-point favorites), and the Wisconsin moneyline (3-point favorites).
Here are some fun nuggets on all three matchups heading into their New Year's Day games:
Alabama, perennial College Football Playoff contenders, are taking a step down from the biggest stage to face off against Michigan in the Citrus Bowl.
Both teams come into this matchup off of losses. Overall, the Crimson Tide finished the season 10-2 straight up, while going 6-6 against the spread. Michigan comes into this game 9-3 SU, 7-5 ATS.
Motivation will be a big factor in this one. Meanwhile, here are a few trends to consider before placing your wager:
- Michigan is 1-4 ATS in its last five bowl games
- Alabama is 6-1 ATS in its last seven games against Big Ten opponents.
The second game of the parlay features Auburn facing off against Minnesota in the Outback Bowl. Both of these teams made great improvements this year and it showed as they almost pulled off special seasons.
Auburn comes into this game with a 9-3 record, while also sporting a 9-3 ATS record. Minnesota on the other hand went 10-2 but only 6-4-2 ATS.
There is plenty of star-power on both sides of the ball, but this matchup will come down to the quarterbacks. Minnesota sophomore Tanner Morgan against Auburn's freshman Bo Nix will most likely decide the outcome of this game straight up and from a betting perspective.
Fun fact, this is the first meeting between these two teams.
In the third game of the above mentioned parlay, Wisconsin and Oregon collide in the Rose Bowl. The Badgers finished the season 10-3 and 8-5 ATS, while Oregon went 11-2 and 7-6 ATS. This game will likely feature a defensive battle between two top-10 defenses, but look for Oregon's quarterback Justin Herbert and Wisconsin's dynamic running back Jonathan Taylor to steal the show.
If the Badgers can contain Herbert and limit their turnovers, their defense and running game should be able to help them pull away late.
