The PGA TOUR awarded DraftKings with its first authorized gambling partnership on Tuesday. The sportsbook, which last year became the official daily fantasy game of the TOUR, now has the right to be called the first official betting operator the organization has awarded.

As part of the deal, DraftKings will have the right to use PGA TOUR trademarks on its betting sites, to advertise on PGA TOUR media and to use highlights for those who have made bets on their platforms. The deal is non-exclusive, so it doesn't limit the TOUR from adding another gambling partner.

The deal is the latest example of the TOUR embracing betting. In March, the TOUR entered into a content venture with The Action Network called GolfBet.

Golf is DraftKings’ fourth-most bet sport behind NFL, NBA and Major League Baseball.

DraftKings now has sportsbooks in nine states — Colorado, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Indiana, New Hampshire, West Virginia, New York, Iowa and Mississippi.

It also recently bought a casino in Illinois to give the company a way around the 18-month "penalty box" period designed for online-only operators.
