Public bettors cashed two of their three favorite plays Monday night, one of which was so stress-free that they're coming back for seconds this evening.

Let's take a look at tonight's public favorites, found with The Action Network's betting percentage data.

New York Yankees (-320) vs. Miami Marlins

6:35 p.m. ET

For the second consecutive night, the Yankees are both the biggest favorite and the most popular team on the baseball board. Eighty percent of bettors expect New York to complete the two-game sweep tonight, helping move the Yanks from -275 to -320.

Why the public loves the Yankees: Any potential doubts that Yankee bettors had last night quickly disappeared as the Yanks scored in each of the first five innings en route to a 12-1 win. That performance should erase any fears that public bettors have about today's high price.

Washington Capitals (+113) at Columbus Blue Jackets

7:30 p.m. ET

The Caps may have dropped their two opening home games, but 74% of bettors expect them to bounce back in Game 3. Also backed by 90% of dollars, Washington has gone from +123 to +113.

Why the public loves Washington: As champions of the Metro, the Caps finished eight points ahead of Columbus. Knowing that, bettors expect that Washington is due to put together a win in this series, so why not take them at plus-money?

Milwaukee Brewers (-161) vs. Cincinnati Reds

7:40 p.m. ET

The second-most popular team tonight, the Brew Crew, has 75% of bettors behind them against Cincy. Despite that, they've dropped from their opener of -175 as they've received only 46% of dollars.

Why the public loves Milwaukee: The Reds, yes the Reds, took the first game of this series last night. The win snapped an eight-game losing streak and improved Cincy's record on the year to 3-13. There's just no way that Milwaukee drops two in a row to the Reds, right?
