We ran hot last weekend, going 3-0, so let's hope we can capitalize again on Saturday's 15-game slate.

Below is my favorite strikeout prop of the day.

Marlins SP  Sandy Alcantara

The Pick: Under 4.5 (-130)

Alcantara hasn't been great this season, pitching to a 5.02 xFIP, 6.11 K/9, and absurdly low 5.3% K-BB% through nine starts. He's up against a Nationals offense that has  a middling 24% strikeout rate against right-handers, and though their strikeout rate isn't as low as would be ideal for a prop like this, it's also not that high.

Given there are 10-mph winds blowing out to left field and the Nationals are implied for 5.5 runs, I'm leaning toward the under in hopes that Alcantara's inefficiency prohibits him from pitching deep into the game.

It wouldn't be surprising to see him get into trouble, especially if his walks start to pile up. Given his 10.6% walk rate, that is well within the realm of possibility.

I like this prop at -130 but wouldn't bet it beyond that.
