After a drubbing Monday night, the Yankees have to pick themselves off the canvas and get ready for Game 4. New York failed in basically every aspect of the game.

Starter Luis Severino was knocked around, manager Aaron Boone was way too slow with the hook and the rest of the team just looked flat. The beautiful thing about sports is that whether you lose 16-1 or 1-0, it counts the same and there's no better pitcher for this spot than CC Sabathia.

Sabathia has a couple of things going his way tonight. The first is that he's born for these spots. I know it's not something you can measure, and therefore it's taboo — but CC has the guts for games like this. However, something that can be measured is the fact that the Red Sox struggle against southpaws.

At this point in his career Sabathia is a pitcher. He knows how to change levels, mess with timing and mix his pitches well.

CC should also benefit from the man behind the plate. Perhaps the only person who had a worse Game 3 than Boone or Severino was umpire Angel Hernandez. He had four of his calls reviewed at first base. He went 1-for-4.

Hernandez will serve as the home plate umpire in Game 4, which should be a big help for Sabathia, as Hernandez will want to keep Yankee fans off his back.

Opposite Sabathia will be Rick Porcello. The New Jersey native is no stranger to big games, either. Porcello will face a righty-dominated lineup, which plays to his strength as a sinkerballer. That pitch will play all night against New York's powerful right-handed hitters.

I think the line for this game is well-adjusted but I think there's value on the total. The public just saw a 16-1 game, so naturally everybody will bet the over. At the time of writing, 81% of the tickets are on the over (see live betting data here), so recency bias is playing a part in the market.

This is a spot where you need to suck it up, go to the window and tell the teller give me the under because I am a sharp player.

Bet: Under 9 (-110)
