  • The Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook has released early 2019 World Series odds.
  • The Boston Red Sox and Houston Astros open as co-favorites, with the 2018 ALCS opponents listed at +600.
  • The Los Angeles Dodgers and New York Yankees aren't far behind and are the only other teams with shorter than 10-1 odds at +700.

The 2018 World Series is in the books, but it's never too soon to be thinking about next year's bets. The Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook has already posted odds for the 2019 World Series.

With so many teams posting excellent records in 2018, no team is listed at shorter than 6-1 odds. It must be a bit tough to handicap considering a few divisions will have multiple teams capable of winning at least 90 games.

Thirteen teams won at least 88 games this season, while eight failed to reach 70. Both are high-water marks this decade.

The Red Sox and Astros start out as co-favorites to win the 2019 World Series. They posted the best records in MLB in 2018 with 108 and 103 wins, respectively, and were the only two teams to outscore their opponents by more than 200 runs.

The Dodgers are the National League favorites at +700 and are currently tied with the Yankees, who had the misfortune of playing in the wild-card game despite winning 100 games.

They'll of course look to take home the division title to improve their chances of a lengthy postseason run.

Two big names that could swing the odds for a contender this offseason are Bryce Harper and Manny Machado. Both are set to receive massive contracts as free agents in the offseason, and will likely sign with one of the teams with shorter than 20-1 odds for next year's World Series.
