Back in 2016, Zack Greinke signed with the Arizona Diamondbacks after spending three seasons in Los Angeles for the Dodgers.

In that span, Greinke owns a 3.41 ERA, which is a half-run lower than any other qualified Diamondbacks starter since he arrived in Arizona four seasons ago. On Friday night, Greinke takes the ball on the road in Miami against the Marlins and he has had some fantastic success pitching down in Florida.

Greinke has faced the Marlins 11 times in his 16-year Major League career and his teams are 11-0 in those games, beating Miami by an average of 2.9 runs per game and profiting bettors $685 on a $100 per game basis.

The Marlins are actually Greinke’s second-most profitable opponent since 2005, behind the San Francisco Giants, who he is 16-4 against, profiting bettors $912.

In the Bet Labs database, which dates back to 2005, only three starting pitchers have won at least ten games against an opponent without a loss.

Greinke owns a 3.19 ERA in 73.1 innings pitched against Miami, including 4-0 as a member of the Diamondbacks. Garcia owned a 2.73 ERA against the Angels during his streak and Volquez had a 3.52 ERA against the Cubs in his 13 starts.

Ironically enough, Garcia lost to the Angels three separate times during the 2004 seasons, before he began his streak in 2005.

Greinke has been at his best against the Marlins on the road, where he pitches tonight with the D-Backs just 3.5 games out of the final wild card spot.

In Greinke’s 42.2 innings pitched on the road against the Marlins, he owns a 1.48 ERA with an absurd 38 strikeouts and just five walks, allowing just two Earned Runs in his 29.2 innings pitched at Marlins Park.

In his four starts at Marlins Park, his 0.61 ERA is his lowest mark at any ballpark with a minimum of two starts.

Tonight against the Marlins, the Diamondback start a four-game series on the road in Miami. In Game 1 of the series, the Diamondbacks are starting their ace Zack Greinke.

During the 2019 season, the Diamondbacks are 5-2 when Greinke starts the first game of a series, winning by 1.6 runs per game.

Since 2005, Greinke’s teams are 84-50 (62.7%) in the first game of a series when he starts, including 30-15 as a member of the Diamondbacks. In the Bet Labs database, Greinke has profited bettors $1,769 in the first game of a series, making him the most profitable starting pitcher in all of baseball.

When Greinke faces a non-divisional opponent in this spot, he is 46-25 (64.8%) on the moneyline, including 15-5 as a member of the D-Backs.
