The CPBL, the only professional baseball league currently playing regular-season games, until the KBO returns on May 5, is back in action on Sunday with two games at 5:05 a.m. ET.

The league-leading Rakuten Monkeys (10-3) will come into Sunday feeling loose after recording their 1,000th CPBL victory on Saturday and will finish up a series with the CTBC Brothers (6-7).

Meanwhile, the Fubon Guardians (5-9) take on the red-hot Uni-Lions (7-8) in a battle of North vs. South Taiwan.

For more information about the CPBL, check out my opening day betting guide.

Below, you can find the listed odds for Sunday’s games, alongside my projections and wagers.

We’ll return on Monday with full analysis for Tuesday’s contests.

Probable Pitchers: Jose De Paula (CTBC) vs. Weng Wei-Chun (Rakuten)

At odds of +155 (implied 39.2%), I see a 9.6% edge on the Brothers’ moneyline for Sunday, compared to my projection at +105 (implied 48.8%) and I bet one unit on the road underdog. I would continue to play them down to +145 (implied 40.8%), an 8% edge. Use our betting calculator to find your edge if you have different odds.

As for the total, I see a 2.6% edge on Under 14 (-110), which is similar to the 2.2% edge on Under 14.5 (-120), if you happen to go price shopping. I would consider making a half-unit play on Under 14.5 (-110), a 4.4% edge.

For more information on Brothers’ starter Jose De Paula, or on Monkeys’ starter Weng Wei-Chun, check out my game preview from April 26.

Probable Pitchers: Yu Ting-Wei (Fubon) vs. Shih Tzu-Chien (Uni)

Compared to listed odds at -150 (implied 60%) I only see a slight 3.3% edge on the Guardians’ moneyline. I would need to see the Guardians listed at -122 (implied 55.3%), an 8% edge, in order to consider making a play on the favorite. Use our betting calculator to find your edge if you have different odds.

As for the total, I see a 2.6% edge on Under 14 (-110), but a slightly larger 3.2% edge on Under 13.5 (+100) depending upon the book. I would consider making a half-unit play on Under 14.5 (-110), a 4.4% edge.
