With William Byron such a large favorite — as he should be — and the field still in flux due to the addition of a qualifying race at 10:30 a.m. ET Sunday, the futures market for today’s NASCAR iRacing Pro Invitational Series race at Richmond doesn’t appear all that enticing to me.

On the other hand, sportsbooks are offering props and driver matchups for the Toyota Owners 150 (1 p.m. ET on FOX, FS1 and Fox Sports app).

Again, I’m not overly enthusiastic about the majority of these either, but one head-to-head driver matchup pops as arguably the best overall bet for today’s NASCAR iRacing event at Richmond.

Erik Jones (-115) over Chase Elliott

Jones’ average finish of 20.7 through three races this season betters Elliott’s average of 24.7, which provides Erik an edge already.

But remember, Jones had internet connectivity issues two weeks ago at Bristol that resulted in a 31st-place finish, skewing his overall average finish.

If we remove that result, Jones’ average finish was 15.5 in the first two NASCAR iRacing events, making this matchup even more attractive.

The bet: Jones (-115) over Elliott [Bet now at DraftKings. NJ and WV only.]
