Major Sharp vs. Public Disagreement in Early NBA Betting

Conference tournament time is great for both fans and recreational bettors, offering plenty of betting opportunities throughout the entire day. However, it presents some difficulties for oddsmakers with the quick turnaround as the previous day's results determine today's matchups. Because of this, many games still don't have odds available.
With a slew of games still off the board, Friday's college basketball market has naturally been very quiet. While professional bettors are patiently waiting for oddsmakers to open the rest of today's college slate, they've turned their attention to one NBA matchup that has already taken multiple waves of sharp action.
Detroit opened as a 3-point road favorite over the Magic at Bookmaker.eu and, unsurprisingly, early bettors have flocked toward the Pistons. Seventy-six percent of tickets and 87% of dollars wagered have taken Detroit, yet oddsmakers have dropped the line to -2.5.
The reason? According to our Bet Signals, sharp bettors have pounced on Orlando at +3, highlighted by two Reverse Line Moves triggered this morning. With the public willing to lay the points, wiseguys are happily grabbing the Magic at +3 whenever they can.
