  • Saturday's eight-game NBA slate features two player prop bets offering value
  • This piece will focus on Rockets G Eric Gordon, and Nuggets G Monte Morris

Saturday’s best NBA player props focus on two of the slate’s eight games:

  • Houston Rockets at New Orleans Pelicans: 7 p.m. ET on NBATV
  • Denver Nuggets at Phoenix Suns: 9 p.m. ET

As a reminder, you can dig deeper on these and many other prop bets by using our FantasyLabs NBA Player Props Tool. It leverages our projections against five of the most popular online sportsbooks and grades each prop on a scale of one to 10.

Rockets G Eric Gordon

The Pick: Over 17.5 points (-143)

Gordon is having a rough year from a shooting perspective, but that hasn’t appeared to dissuade him recently. He’s fired at least 16 shots in each of his past four games, resulting in an average of 18.8 points per game.

He has made just 38.0% of his shots over that time frame, so he has even more scoring upside if he ever starts making his jump shot. The Rockets’ also lead the slate with an implied team total of 115.75 points in an elite matchup vs. the New Orleans Pelicans: They rank fourth in pace and just 26th in defensive efficiency this season.

I’m going to continue to ride the over on Gordon’s scoring prop until market adjusts. I like the over up to -175.

Nuggets G Monte Morris

The Pick: Under 12 points (-167)

Morris has become a valuable part of the Nuggets’ rotation recently, but it’s possible that his role could be shrinking. He played just 20 minutes yesterday vs. the San Antonio Spurs, and the Nuggets are close to getting Paul Millsap back from injury.

Morris is currently projected for just 21 minutes in the FantasyLabs NBA Models, and Morris has averaged just 10.3 points per game in 24.9 minutes this season.

Morris does have an appealing matchup vs. the Phoenix Suns, but the fact that both of these teams play slow should keep the scoring somewhat reasonable. I like the under up to -190.
