- Friday's nine-game slate features four NBA player props offering value.
- This piece will focus on Hornets PG Kemba Walker, Bucks PG Eric Bledsoe, Heat G/F Jason Richardson and Thunder C Steven Adams.
Friday’s best NBA player props focus on four of the slate’s nine games:
- New York Knicks at Charlotte Hornets:7 p.m. ET
- Milwaukee Bucks at Cleveland Cavaliers: 7:30 p.m. ET
- Miami Heat at Memphis Grizzlies: 8 p.m. ET
- Oklahoma City Thunder at Denver Nuggets: 10 p.m. ET on ESPN
As a reminder, you can dig deeper on these and many other prop bets by using our FantasyLabs NBA Player Props Tool. It leverages our projections against five of the most popular online sportsbooks and grades each prop on a scale of one to 10.
Hornets PG Kemba Walker
The Pick: Over 24.5 points (-114)
Walker has cooled off from a scoring perspective after a torrid start to the season, but he’s started to heat back up over his past two games. He’s scored at least 25 points in each of those contests, and he’s averaged 26.0 points per game on the season.
He’s in an elite spot against the Knicks, who rank 29th in defensive efficiency, and the Hornets’ implied team total of 117.0 points ranks second on the slate.
Kemba dropped 25 on the Knicks over just 30.5 minutes in their first meeting this season, so this line feels low. I like the over up to -150.
Bucks PG Eric Bledsoe
The Pick: Over five assists (-156)
This prop is already juiced up pretty substantially, but there still appears to be some value with the over.
Bledsoe has averaged 5.8 assists per game this season, and he’s handed out at least five assists in each of his past three contests. The Bucks are also in an excellent spot to score points against the Cavaliers, who rank dead last in defensive efficiency this season. The Bucks’ implied team total of 121.5 is also the top mark on the slate by a significant margin.
The Bucks should be able to score a bunch of points in this contest, which obviously increases Bledsoe’s assist potential. That said, I wouldn’t play it at much higher than the current line.
Heat G/F Josh Richardson
The Pick: Over 15.5 points (-114)
Richardson has been a major disappointment over his past five games, averaging just 10.2 points per game.
That said, this seems like a prime opportunity to buy low on him. He’s shot a paltry 26.2% from the field and 32.1% from 3-point range over that time frame, which makes him a prime candidate for some positive regression. He should also see a boost in value given the Heat’s current injury situation: Goran Dragic has been ruled for the 10th time in 12 games, while Dwyane Wade is currently questionable with an illness.
Richardson still has a difficult matchup against the Grizzlies, so I wouldn’t go crazy betting the over. It stops looking like a value around -135.
Thunder C Steven Adams
The Pick: Under 16.5 points (-114)
Adams has scored at least 20 points in four of his past five games, which is creating a little value with his scoring prop for Friday’s contest against the Nuggets.
Adams is averaging just 15.6 points per game despite his recent outburst, and the Nuggets represent a difficult matchup. They rank 27th in pace and seventh in defensive efficiency this season, and Nikola Jokic ranks 10th among centers in Defensive Real Plus/Minus. Adams struggled in his first matchup with the Nuggets this season, scoring just 12 points in 37.3 minutes.
I like the idea of selling high on Adams in this matchup and would play the under up to -155.
