The Philadelphia 76ers were a trendy pick to make it out of the Eastern conference heading into the bubble with a healthy roster. Now they aren’t expected to make it out of the first round as they drew their rivals and the East’s No. 3 seed, the Boston Celtics.
We know Ben Simmons won’t be there for the Sixers during their playoff run, no matter how far they make it. Joel Embiid is expected to be a full go, though he is dealing with a hand injury. If the 76ers expect to pull off a first-round upset, it will fall mostly on Embiid’s shoulders.
On the other side, the Celtics look to be fully healthy entering the postseason, but Kemba Walker’s knee will be a point of emphasis. The Celtics went 1-3 in their four games against the 76ers this season, but have the clear advantage. You can check out the schedule for this series, including the Game 1 odds below.
