  • It may be a fall Saturday, but sharps aren't focused solely on college football.
  • Below you'll find their takes on two NBA games tipping off tonight.

This time of year, Saturday betting is reserved mostly for one sport. But while college football dominates at the ticket window, it’s not the only sport offering value — at least according to sharp bettors.

The pros aren’t forgetting about the NBA today, even with a loaded college football slate, and they’ve hit two games particularly hard: Nuggets vs. Magic and T’Wolves vs. Wizards. And as has often been the case this season, both bets have come by way of the over/under.

There was no question that this would be the lowest total on today’s slate when lines were released, but even the opening number of 204.5 was deemed too high for sharp bettors.

Even with 59% of bets landing on the over, the sharp action going the other way has dropped this line all the way to 200.5. The 41% backing of the under has generated 57% of actual money being wagered, meaning bigger bets — the ones more likely made by sharps — are banking on a low-scoring game.

Sports Insights Bet Signals have confirmed those bets to be of the sharper variety, as they’ve highlighted professional moves at 204.5, 204 and 202 to drive this line to its current number.

Just as they’ve taken the under on today’s lowest number, sharps are taking the over on what’s now the highest.

After opening as low as 221.5 (most openers were closer to the 223-224 range), we’re now looking at a total of 227.5, and some books have even furthered the movement to 228. In this case, that movement has come in the direction of the slightly popular side, as 53% of bettors have taken the over, but once again, the money percentage (80%) has revealed the opinions of bigger, probably sharper, bettors.

Another three SI Bet Signals have also hit the over at totals of 224.5, 226.5 and 227, propelling the line jump.
