- Saturday's six-game NBA slate features two player prop bets offering value
- This piece will focus on Pelicans F Nikola Mirotic and Jazz PF Derrick Favors
Friday’s best NBA player props focus on three of the slate’s nine games:
- New Orleans Pelicans at Minnesota Timberwolves: 8 p.m. ET
- Chicago Bulls at Utah Jazz: 10 p.m. ET
As a reminder, you can dig deeper on these and many other prop bets by using our FantasyLabs NBA Player Props Tool. It leverages our projections against five of the most popular online sportsbooks and grades each prop on a scale of one to 10.
Pelicans F Nikola Mirotic
The Pick: Under 15.5 points (-125)
Mirotic returned from injury in the Pelicans’ last game, but is expected to be on a minute restriction for the near future.
He played just 20 minutes in his first game back and is currently projected for just 24.5 minutes in the FantasyLabs NBA Models. He managed to score 17 points vs. the Cavaliers, but his scoring numbers still figure to take a hit until he returns to his normal workload.
Mirotic is an excellent scorer, so I wouldn’t go crazy with this prop. I wouldn’t play it at much higher than -130.
Jazz PF Derrick Favors
The Pick: Over seven rebounds (-114)
The Jazz are dealing with a laundry list of injuries right now, which should give Favors a slight boost in playing time. He tallied 25.5 minutes in their game vs. the Lakers yesterday despite barely playing in the fourth quarter of a blowout.
With that in mind, I love the over on his rebounding prop today vs. the Bulls. They rank just 27th in team rebound rate this season, so Favors should be able to do some damage on the glass.
Favors managed 13 rebounds yesterday vs. the Lakers, so I think this prop is low. I like the over up to -160 and would play the over on 7.5 rebounds as well.
