  • The LSU Tigers erased a 14-point deficit in just over two minutes to go to force overtime over home underdog Missouri (+6).
  • And that was just the beginning of a brutal night for Missouri bettors.

If you've been gambling long enough, you know that nothing is guaranteed. No matter how likely it seems that your bet will cash, there's always room for the improbable, the downright ridiculous.

LSU opened as a 3-point favorite against Missouri and closed as a 6-point favorite on the road, but found itself down by 14 points with just over two minutes left in the game. Missouri bettors had to be feeling great expecting the home team to close he last two minutes out strong.

Enter the improbable.

Junior guard Skylar Mays scored nine consecutive points to bring LSU within five points with just over one minute to go in regulation. By the 30 second mark LSU had rattled off a 15-1 run and trailed 70-71.

At this point not only were spread bettors sweating, but anyone who had the total at 142.5 was in the danger zone.

LSU had a chance to take the lead with free throws at the end of regulation, but Emmitt Williams split the two freebies and sent the game into overtime at 71 apiece guaranteeing that the game would go over.

Overtime wasn't much better for Missouri as LSU started to find their rhythm and pull away.

Enter the downright ridiculous.

With LSU up by 85-80, Jordan Geist missed 3-pointer that should've ended the game until this happened…

BAD BEAT 🚨🚨🚨

A foul… with 0.9 seconds left in the game, by the guy who just missed the 3-pointer and ran across the floor to commit said foul. The ultimate "What are you thinking" moment.

Just to recap, LSU went on a 30-10 run from the 2:14 mark in the second half for all of this to happen.

LSU went on to split the free throws, but anyone who thought they would escape with a win after one of the most wild comebacks of the season only walked away with a brutal beat to remember for a long time.
