Public bettors are hammering some road favorites on Wednesday night, but the bigger bets have come down on a few road underdogs, like Boise State and Providence.

We’ll examine market data to see whether there are any profitable contrarian opportunities, betting system matches and more below.

All betting data comes from our public betting page (ticket count is free, but money percentages are available only to EDGE subscribers). Betting trends are available for free in The Action Network app, while more advanced betting systems are available to Sports Insights subscribers via Bet Labs.

Biggest Betting Ticket/Money Discrepancies

We track both betting tickets on a given game and the percentage of money that’s been bet on each side. If there’s a big discrepancy, there’s likely some sharper, larger bets on the opposite side.

Here are the three biggest discrepancies for Wednesday as of 3 p.m. ET. This data will change as we get closer to tipoffs. Minimum 1,000 bets.

Boise State (+6) at Fresno State

  • 10:30 p.m. ET
  • 24% of tickets, 66% of money
  • 42% difference
  • Line move: Boise State +6.5 to +6

Providence (+10.5) at Villanova

  • 6:30 p.m. ET
  • 38% of tickets, 74% of money
  • 36% difference
  • Line move: Providence +11 to +10.5

Iona (+2) at Siena

  • 7 p.m. ET
  • 35% of tickets, 65% of money
  • 30% difference
  • Line move: Iona +2.5 to +2

Bet Labs Pro Trend

Over at Bet Labs, we’ve created historically profitable betting systems for every sport. There aren’t any PRO systems that match tonight’s games, but one user-generated system that’s been successful over the past 15 years does.

Bad ATS Teams vs. Good ATS Teams

No team can cover every game. When they go on a crazy against-the-spread run, the market usually over-adjusts. The inverse is true for teams struggling to cover.

That’s the case for Boise State (10-13-1 ATS) at Fresno State (14-7-1 ATS). The Broncos are catching 6 points and match one of our PRO systems.

You can create your own betting systems by signing up for a trial of Bet Labs here.

Sharp Money Indicators

Each day, we’ll highlight one game from our sharp report page that has multiple indicators of sharp action. Hold your nose for this one.

Stetson, 1-9 in the Atlantic Sun, is triggering a reverse line movement and contrarian indicators against Jacksonville on Wednesday night.

It’s one of Stuckey’s favorite bets of the night, too. Just be sure to hold your nose.
