Biggest Betting Ticket/Money Discrepancies

We track both betting tickets on a given game and the percentage of money that's been bet on each side. If there's a big discrepancy, there's likely some sharper, larger bets on the opposite side.

Here are the three biggest discrepancies for Thursday night as of 4:30 p.m. ET. This data will change as we get closer to tipoffs. Minimum 1,000 bets.

Utah State -13 vs. New Mexico

  • 9 p.m. ET
  • 59% of tickets, 83% of money
  • 24% difference
  • Line move: Utah State -12 to -13

Contrarian bettors aren't always piling on big underdogs. Here, they've taken the favorite Utah State and moved the line a point.

West Virginia +12.5 vs. Texas Tech

  • 7 p.m. ET
  • 25% of tickets, 48% of money
  • 23% difference
  • Line move: WVU +14 to +12.5

Some bettors are counting on West Virginia to build off its upset of Oklahoma on Wednesday night, moving this line 1.5 points.

St. Joe's -2 vs. Duquesne

  • 6 p.m. ET
  • 65% of tickets, 87% of money
  • 22% difference
  • Line move: St. Joe's -1.5 to -2

St. Joe's coach Phil Martelli is 22-8 against the spread in conference tournament games since 2005.

Sharp Money Indicators

Each day, we try to highlight one game from our sharp report page that has multiple indicators of sharp action.

Ball State has been a popular contrarian team for a few weeks now. The Cardinals are just 5-6 since the start of February, but haven't lost a game by double digits over that span.

We've tracked contrarian indicators and reverse line movement on Ball State against Bowling Green.
