FSU senior guard PJ Savoy was a huge factor with game highs in points (20) and 3s (5). The experienced core of Savoy, Terrence Mann and Trent Forrest will be overwhelming for the Green Wave.

This matchup is tough to project, as Trojans guard Bennie Boatwright — their second-leading scorer (13.2 ppg) last season — is questionable with a left knee injury.

The Commodores, meanwhile, are one of the youngest teams in college basketball, led by their five-star hauls Darius Garland and Simi Shittu. They looked as good as advertised in their season opener, combing for 42 points.

Shittu will face a tough test in the 6-foot-11 Nick Rakocevic, but the 6-foot-10 freshman's talent should win out.

Many forget while Vandy struggled as a whole last season (8-21 ATS), Bryce Drew's unit still finished with the 29th-best Adjusted Offensive Efficiency on KenPom.

Combine Drew's elite freshmen haul with Notre Dame transfer Matt Ryan and first-year wing Aaron Nesmith, and they'll keep pace with most of their opponents.

USC is no exception, as it lacks a bit less backcourt burst sans Boatwright  — despite its superior experience.

Assuming Boatwright doesn't play, the Commodores should cover in their first true road test. The moneyline (+120) is more of an attractive option with the spread tightening up. Bet the under (150), too, as both squads have showcased sound perimeter defenses.
