Saturday Sharp Report: Betting WVU-Kansas, Providence-Nova, and UNC-UVA

As we've learned, wiseguys will bet on just about anything that has value. From FCS bowl games to snooker to national anthem times, if there's value they'll bet it, regardless of the excitement attached to the event.

Lucky for us, on this Championship Saturday sharps have found value in arguably the three biggest games of the night, starting at 6, 6:30, and 8:30 p.m. ET. Let's take a look.

West Virginia (-1.5) vs. Kansas

6 p.m. ET | ESPN

The Mountaineers enter this year's Big 12 Championship as the 3-seed in the tournament, yet they're laying points against top seeded Kansas. Wait, what?

West Virginia opened as a 1-point dog, but heavy sharp action, illustrated by a significantly higher money percentage than bet percentage, has flipped this one around and made the number one seed a 1.5-point underdog.

Using Sports Insights' Bet Signals, we're able to see that sharps were quick to take advantage of the early point given to WVU, as they hammered the opening spread at ABC this morning to help drive this line toward the Mountaineers.

Providence-Villanova Under 143.5

6:30 p.m. ET | FOX

It's not the Big East Championship we expected, but that doesn't mean we aren't going to bet it. While the majority of the public is unsurprisingly taking the over (73% of tickets), sharps are all over the under, and they've pounded this total down from 149 to 143.5.

Steam moves from two of the sharpest books have helped that cause, as wiseguys at Pinnacle and CRIS caused market-wide movement at 148 and 145.5, respectively.

North Carolina-Virginia Under 125.5

8:30 p.m. ET | ESPN

The ACC championship features the lowest total on today's board…not sure which team we should thank for that. Seeing a low number, squares will almost always take the over, as they've done here.

But despite 62% of bettors taking the over, this total has also fallen considerably. Seeing an opening number of 131, sharps have been pounding the under throughout the day, highlighted by three Sports Insights Bet Signals.
