Betting Odds: Nebraska Cornhuskers at Indiana Hoosiers

  • Spread: Indiana -2.5
  • Over/Under: 143.5
  • Time: 6:30 p.m. EST
  • TV: FS1

The Hoosiers (8-8 against the spread) are coming off back-to-back straight up losses against Michigan and Maryland while the Cornhuskers (9-4-2 ATS) have failed to rack up a cover in three straight affairs.

Despite Indiana lacking size against Nebraska, Archie Miller's crew should have success by attacking the lane as the Cornhuskers' opponents have amassed the 13th-highest opponent scoring percentage from inside the perimeter. The Hoosiers have produced 57.7% of their scoring in that department — the 11th-highest in the country.

Moreover, Indiana five-star wing Romeo Langford (18.8 points per game) has developed into college basketball's most efficient finisher around the rim (78%) among the 388 Division I players with at least 50 attempts in the half-court sets, per Synergy.

Nebraska has numerous players that can switch on ball screens, but Langford should still have space to attack with Rob Phinisee (concussion) back in the rotation and spacing the floor as a result.

At the other end, Miller's bunch is equip to handle the Cornhuskers' floor-spacing attack via its 36th-rated opponents' Effective Field Goal Percentage (46.5%), including a mere 29.6 3-point percentage.

In an affair that could come down to James Palmer Jr. (19.5 ppg) vs. Langford in the waning minutes, take the Hoosiers in a get-right game.

THE PICK: Hoosiers -2.5

Betting Odds: Baylor Bears at Oklahoma State Cowboys

  • Spread: Oklahoma State -3
  • Over/Under: 132.5
  • Time: 9 p.m. EST
  • TV: ESPNU

After the Bears (8-7 ATS) lost Tristan Clark (knee) for the remainder of the season, Scott Drew's crew showed its inability to play inside-out against Kansas on Saturday. It's matchup with the Cowboys (6-10 ATS) won't be any easier.

Even though Oklahoma State has struggled on the defensive glass, avoiding Clark's presence should be a massive boost. It's yielding the 50th-lowest eFG% (47.5%), too, led by the 6-foot-10 Yor Anei's 15th-highest block rate in the nation. He'll make life difficult for Baylor's Mario Kegler inside.

Expect Mike Boynton's bunch to pump the ball from deep in transition, thanks to the 38th-highest 3-point clip (38.1%) in DI. That'll be crucial when the Bears' shift to their signature zone defense.

But they can play at a slower pace as well, demonstrated in an eight-point win at West Virginia on Saturday, going through the 6-foot-7 Cameron McGriff (13.3 ppg). Minus Clark, Kansas' Dedric Lawson dominated the Bears in the paint to the tune of 17 points via 7-of-12 shooting, and McGriff will provide a similar effect once again.

According to Bet Labs, Big 12 programs are 48-44-1 (52.2%) ATS as a favorite this season. That trend will continue in Stillwater.

THE PICK: Cowboys -3
