College Football Sharp Betting Picks: Monday, Dec. 20 Bowl Games

First Responders Bowl: Western Michigan vs. Western Kentucky

This total opened at 52.5 and 60% of bets have played the over.

But it's not just the public bettors playing this side of the total, evidenced by 81% of the money also banking on a higher-scoring game.

Sports Insights' Bet Signals, which cite specific instances of market-moving money, have triggered a whopping six Steam Moves on the over, revealing that sharp bettors are the reason for this line increasing to 54, and even up to 54.5 at some shops.

Redbox Bowl: Illinois vs. California

The betting trends in this game are very similar to those of the First Responders Bowl. The over is clearly the popular bet here, earning a backing of 65% of tickets and 63% of the loot.

While the money isn't as one-sided, SI's Bet Signals clarify that sharps are again on the over.

An overwhelming nine smart money indicators have been reported on the Illinois vs. California over, leaving no doubt as to why oddsmakers have adjusted this number from 41.5 to 44.

Orange Bowl: Virginia vs. Florida

Wiseguys targeted the total in our first two games, and have taken a position on the spread in the Orange Bowl.

Oddsmakers opened this spread at Florida -12.5 and based on two smart money indicators, we know that sharps jumped all over this line at -13.5, driving it to the current consensus of Gators -14.5.

It's important to note that each SI Bet Signals came below the key number of -14 and there have been no signs of sharp activity once the spread hit and crossed that threshold.
