  • The two top teams from the Big-12 are set to face off on Black Friday (8 p.m. ET, ESPN) when Oklahoma visits West Virginia.
  • Following WVU's upset at the hands of Oklahoma State, the Mountaineers opened as a home dog vs. the Sooners.
  • Multiple waves of sharp action changed that, though, and WVU is now a slight favorite around the market.

The college football regular season is winding down and bowl season is already on the minds of many. There are still plenty of good games to bet this weekend, though, and the top-25 matchup between Oklahoma and West Virginia is certainly one of them.

The Black Friday affair features the top two teams in the Big 12, with Oklahoma leading the way with a 7-1 conference record and WVU one game back following its loss to Oklahoma State on Saturday.  The Sooners also had some struggles despite a win against Kansas. The winner of Oklahoma-WVU will reach the Big 12 Championship game.

Following their upset at the hands of the Cowboys on Saturday, WVU opened as a home dog to the Sooners, who will likely remain at No. 6 in the College Football Playoff rankings. West Virginia, on the other hand, could fall back to No. 11 or No. 12, according to our college football expert Danny Donahue.

The earliest line that opened — at about 5:30 p.m. ET on Sunday — pegged Oklahoma as a 4-point favorite. That quickly fell to -3, and many other books around the market opened up at -2.5 or -2.

Per Sports Insights' Bet Signals, steam hit the market late last night and moved West Virginia from +1 to a pick 'em at many books.

There was another wave of sharp action on Monday at approximately noon ET, further moving the line to WVU -1. Some books remain at a PK, however, though most books have juice in favor of WVU.

The Mountaineers are getting 40% of spread bets, but 51% of dollars. This game is currently the fourth most-heavily bet game of the weekend and is sure to get a ton of recreational bets given its time slot on Friday night, so be sure to keep track of the action through the holiday.
