DraftKings Partnering with Atlantic City Casino to Offer Legal Sports Betting

With New Jersey on the cusp of taking legal sports bets following the Supreme Court's decision to strike down the Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act, daily fantasy sports operator DraftKings is expected to announce a partnership with Resorts Casino in Atlantic City, N.J.
According to the Associated Press, DraftKings and Resorts Casino will sign the deal on Friday, paving the way for bettors to begin wagering on sports in Atlantic City.
With a sports-betting bill expected to pass later this month, DraftKings CEO Jason Robbins says that sports betting will be available as soon as state regulators give the thumbs up.
“Everybody knows there’s a big opportunity out there,” Robbins told the Associated Press. “It’s a new thing, so people are trying to see how they want to go about it, who they want to partner with. Anytime you’ve got a big market about to be created, there’s so much opportunity out there that everyone should benefit, as long as you do it the right way.”
While it is known that DraftKings will offer digital betting via both the web and mobile applications, there are still questions regarding where bettors will physically be able to access wagering applications. Will they have to be on casino property? Will they be able to bet from anywhere within the state's borders?
