Updated 2019 NFL Draft Order, Odds, Projections: 49ers Lose No. 1 Pick With Victory vs. Seahawks

  • The San Francisco 49ers held the No. 1 pick for the 2019 NFL Draft entering Week 15, but a victory over the Seahawks bumped them down to the No. 4 slot and moved the Arizona Cardinals up to No. 1.

This time of year, there’s plenty of talk about the playoffs, but the reality is that the playoffs are a mere pipe dream for the majority of NFL teams.

And thus we turn our attention to the 2019 NFL draft — the playoffs for the bad teams, if you will.

Below we’ve compiled the current 2019 NFL Draft order after Sunday’s Week 15 games. We’ve paired those numbers with projection data our from Bet Labs’ simulations, which runs each team’s remaining schedule 10,000 times.

2019 NFL Draft Order, Odds — Top 10

The biggest NFL draft loser in Week 15? The teams that won! Most notably, the 49ers’ overtime victory over the Seahawks may have cost San Fran the No. 1 overall pick.

The 49ers hold the No. 4 pick, based on the current standings.

Arizona played like it had the draft on its mind, losing 40-14 to the Falcons. The loss moves them into the No. 1 slot, ahead of the Raiders, who have the same record, but have played a slightly harder schedule.

The Falcons’ victory over the Cardinals didn’t hurt their draft stock much, moving from the No. 5 pick to No. 6.

Buffalo beat Detroit by 1 at home. The result: The Bills moved from No. 6 to No. 10, and the Lions bumped up from No. 10 to No. 7.

2019 NFL Draft Order, Odds — Picks 11-20

The Broncos’ Saturday night loss to the Browns impacted both teams’ draft standing. Denver got a “boost” from No. 17 to No. 13, while Cleveland moved down from No. 13 to No. 15.

Green Bay’s loss to the Bears puts it on the verge of earning its second top-10 draft pick since 2009.
