Breece Hall's torn ACL might have cost the Jets a storybook season, and it's certainly a tragic situation for Hall, but it should also prove profitable for most sportsbooks.

Hall was the most bet player to win Offensive Rookie of the Year at DraftKings, making up 15% of all bets on the award. He was second in terms of money bettors placed at 16%.

Seahawks running back Kenneth Walker III replaces Hall, who's now off the board, as the favorite (+200) at DraftKings. He's much less of a liability for the sportsbook — garnering only 2% of bets and 2% of the money it has on the market to this point. Hours before Hall's injury Walker was listed at +750 on DraftKings and +900 at PointsBet.

FanDuel took the most money on Hall to win the award at 16%, though after news on the severity of his injury broke Monday, they opted to void all his OROY bets. DraftKings followed suit soon thereafter on Monday evening.

Hall entered Week 7 as the favorite (+275) at DraftKings to win the award, after totaling 116 rushing yards in a win against Green Bay the week prior.

The only other players with either more money or bets to win OROY:

  • Kenny Pickett (BetMGM and DraftKings)
  • Dameon Pierce (BetMGM and PointsBet)
  • George Pickens (PointsBet)
